We had an awesome time of worship yesterday at First Baptist Laurel. For me, it started by attending our sunrise service which was held on the site of our new campus! The regular services were full of energy and people met with the Lord in a special way.
My favorite moment of the morning was remembering scenes from The Passion of the Christ while we sang "Hallelujah! What A Savior" arranged by Tommy Walker. I'll never get over the price that was paid for my sin. What a privilege it is to lead our congregations into His presence every week - and especially on Easter Sunday!
I'd love to hear how your services went yesterday. Leave a comment describing your favorite moment at your church.

I had a few favorite times during the entire weekend at Northminster Presbyerian Church. The first memorable and powerful experience was the multi-sensory stations that were set up by our worship leader and his wife as different rooms for Good Friday: the upper room, the garden, the cross, and the tomb. Another was once again being reminded of what Christ endured for each of us in "Passion of Christ" with other church members. Finally, the most memorable and emotional part of the Easter service for me was the drama about how Jesus would ask us to give up our guilt over past transgressions (and the resulting sense of release that I felt from this message). The choice of music between the drama segments were so appropriately tied to this message. This year was perhaps the special and meaningful holy weeks that I've experienced in my 44 years as a Christian.
